The last thing you want in street photography is to have your subjects look at you and change their attitude. So you have to shoot very quickly. I thought it was the case when I took this snapshot of a terrace on Avenue Rivoli as the last sun rays of the day hit the clientele. But obviously, I got spotted. As high schools and universities around the world start to close their doors for the summer, students start to hit the road. One classic road trip is a tour of Europe with Paris being one of the obvious stops. So you will see numerous groups of friends heavily loaded with backpacks wandering around the city. This was certainly the case of this group of four friends whose hands very firmly clung to a metro post just like four lyal musketeers. (click on picture to enlarge)

Once a year, a huge flea market takes place in the oldest neighbourhood of the city, that is the Marais. You will find any item there with a special focus on trendy and fashion items. The atmosphere is friendly and after searching through the numerous stands, one will always find a trophy to bring back proudly home. Just like these two gentlemen on Sunday that found their own creative way to carry their discoveries along. (click on picture)
