The White Paradise

jeudi, décembre 10th, 2009

Somedays one would obviously rather be in the great white open with the wolves than Christmas shopping on the crowded Champs-Elysées. (click on picture to enlarge)

The last mooring

mercredi, décembre 9th, 2009

Parisians enjoy their weekend at the beach, but meanwhile, many locals work. Just like this man emptying a grounded boat. Last mooring or revamp for a new youth. (click on picture to enlarge)

From the sea to the table

mardi, décembre 8th, 2009

This second part of « Paris Beach » leads us to the inevitable seafood restaurant in a tiny harbour. Even when outside of the city, one cannot lose its style (take a good look at the restaurant windows …)   (click on pictures to enlarge)

Before the storm

lundi, décembre 7th, 2009

Over the coming days, I will post a series of pictures on a weekend at the beach to let you envision what many Parisians do when they escape the metropolis. Let’s start by the afternoon walk by the sea.

Tide is low, the first wind gusts sweep the shore, a few raindrops hit the few passerby’s. Storm is coming, time to rush back home.    (click on picture to enlarge)

The floating pyramide

mercredi, décembre 2nd, 2009

Most people that discover the beauty of the Louvres Pyramide for the first time usually stand still for a few minutes in contemplation. Apparently, that is what happened to this group of friends on that rainy day when the sky almost merged with the soaked pavement.  (click on picture to enlarge)

Ads kill our dreams

mardi, décembre 1st, 2009

This is the writing of a bold tagger that defied the tidy look of Mr Clooney. Yet, not enough to challenge his stoicism … what else ?   (click on picture to enlarge)
