Not easy to select the postcards that will engrave one’s memories of Paris forever. My role was easier and one geniune look was engraved forever that night on Les Champs-Elysées.

Why are the cards in the centre out of focus?
Nice picture though!

because it was taken at F1.2 to get a high speed and sharp face. 60mm + F1.2 means a area of focus of a few centimeters.
I tried at F2.8, but even then, depth of field was not enough to the cards and the face in focus.

Hm, but the cards on the right and left are sharper. That I was wondering about.

it is normal as they are at the same distance to camera than the face of the girl. Imagine a circle with the camera as center, there will be several points in focus along the curve (that is the postcards on the far and right sides)

Ok, that sounds evident. Thanks for the explanation!
