Stranger wine

I wonder what is a stranger wine. Is it an alcohol for strange people or for visitors from abroad ? Perhaps some wines are stranger than others ? In the end, it must probably be a wine that is not French. That would be strange though, indeed who drinks foreign wines in France anyways … (click on picture to enlarge)

  1. I’ve always wanted to start a business where I do the final edit on translations into English. This store owner should be my first customer.

    Hi Yannik,
70mm now? Did you sell the most famous 60mm Hexanon??
btw « Wonderland » by Jason Eskenazi is my photobook of the year. Thank you very much for mentioning it to us. Last year’s was « Created Equal » by Mark Laita. Probably not in the same league, but for a foreigner a charming one I found « Rues » by Jaques Dubois.
    Cheers!

and you’ll get many more customers here for sure ;)

    Hi Simon,

I’ll never sell the Hexanon but I’ve had that 75mm summicron for a long time. I traded it temporarly with a 50mm Lux asph but did not like the later that much. So I am back with it.

Eskenazi is really impressive. He must think with a tri dimensional space as it is so amazing how is pictures are composed both in depth and field of view.
Thanks for the tip on the others, I’ll look at them since I don’ know these.
    Cheers, Yanick

I took a similar picture in 2000 though I’m almost 100% certain it’s not the same shop:
