How could one ever visit a Parisian market and not be able to smell the wonderful aromas ? Some kind of torture for sure.  (click on picture to enlarge)

It’s a form of courtesy that Japanese practice where if you’re feeling unwell, you will wear a mask so as not to spread your germs to the others while you are out.

Thanks for the education. I always had wondered why so many Japanese wore these masks. I thought it was to protect themselves from germs. Indeed a very courteous people!

Hi, I am really into your pictures, and learn a lot.
As I am thinking to get a digital Leica M system, can I ask you a question about M8 and M9, do you think there is a big difference between these two? Is that worth to pay extra £2000 to own a M9?
    Many thanks.

Valery, yes indeed, quite a lesson !

Super_meng. It depends on what you do with your pictures and the focals you prefer.
    - if you don’t print larger then A3+ and
    - use mainly 50mm lenses and above.
then the M8 is probably enough.
Yet, if you like fast wide angles like the 35mm F1.4 Lux Asph or need to print for shows or pro, then the M9 is probably a better option due to the full frame.

The M9 also has a slightly better high ISO performance, a bit more pleasant colors (that is subjective though) and a better dynamic range. I also like the improved ergonomy (ISO button, soft shutter). Yet the M8 is also a wonderful camera! Good luck in your choice.
