A chat by the river

Mercredi, novembre 5th, 2008

This group of friends was enjoying a sunny day under the Passerelle Debilly where this old boat docked. Though usually much bigger, you will encounter hundreds of barges on the banks of the Seine, most of them having been converted to homes for the enjoyment of the lucky owners.

Jam on the Pont des Arts

Mardi, novembre 4th, 2008

The Pont des Arts  is a pedestrian bridge that links the Louvres Palace to the Institute of Arts (a governmental agency that oversees all issues related to Arts in France). It is quite usual to find all kind of activities and people on this bridge, ranging from the typical sunny day picnics to musicians looking for inspiration over the Seine River. In this case, the lead singer stayed quiet as if he had lost his flow of words.

Halloween in Paris

Samedi, novembre 1st, 2008

Restaurant : Au Petit Bistrot

Jeudi, octobre 30th, 2008

If you are looking for a decently priced restaurant (menus at €15) on the touristic street « Rue Mouffetard », don’t hesitate to enter in « Au Petit Bistrot ». You will get a surprising French cuisine menu with some Greek influence. The decoration is cozy and the tables lit by candles at night. Definitely a place where you get good value for your money, contrarly to many restaurants located on touristic routes.

Wedding in Monceau

Samedi, octobre 4th, 2008

Parc Monceau seems to be a must-do for « Just married » couples. Every weekend, you will encounter large groups of nicely dressed people following the bride and the groom for the traditional picture session in the center of the park. It was no differeent this morning, except for this small congregation that had fled to have a little chat between girls.

Trodacero Girl

Vendredi, septembre 19th, 2008

This shot was taken at the Trocadero last Sunday facing the Eiffel Tower (whose reflections can be seen in the windows). A little boy is crying and taking all of the dog’s attention while the girl laughs tenderly at that little drama full of tears.
