As we enter December and the holiday season, a rollercoaster was installed in front of the Grand Palais. The deers seem to enjoy a little race versus the horses on top of the palace. The later being obviously condemned to eternal stillness. (click on picture to enlarge)

The very steep street “Rue des Martyrs” next to Montmartre is always very busy on Sundays with people coming for a breakfast or grocery shopping. It was even more the case yesterday as the yearly flea market envaded the tiny street and shoppers started to rummage about the various stands. One of the most concurred place was obviously the bric a brac jewlery stand. (click on picture to enlarge)

A grand stand was installed this summer in front of the Hotel de Ville to showcase numerous concerts. While this band had thousands of specators in front of them, their most hale and hearty ones seemed to stand by their side. (click on picture to enlarge)

No, like many that had gathered on Les Champs-Elysées, they were looking at the airplanes flying low over the Avenue during the military parade on Bastille Day.

A large cloud suddenly covered Paris at the end of the day just and gave the impression of a giant tsunami falling over the city. Yet the only rain that fell was the several showers that seem to be scanning the Montmartre neighbourhood in the background. (click on picture to enlarge)
